bunk belts
2025
Bunk Belts uses the male body as a site of staged tension. The images stop just short of overt eroticism.
The work examines masculinity as something constructed through symbols of control — leather belts, stainless steel hardware, denim — while allowing the body beneath to remain exposed and vulnerable. The result produces a friction: The body is presented as aesthetic object, but not in a way that offers clear permission to categorize it as either sexual or neutral.
the series treats the male form as charged territory — where power, vanity, discipline, and fragility vie for influence.
