military-aged men
2025 - present
Military-Aged Men is an ongoing photographic series exploring modern masculinity and political discourse in an empire/nation unsure of what it asks of its men.
Recruiting myself as a cast of young militants, I stage militia-like exercises — I use costume, props, body-doubling, and tactical role-play as a way of inhabiting — rather than mocking — the militia / tactical-guy archetype, treating absurdist, LARP-like fantasy participation as a method of investigation.
